Visually Challenged can use it to read Tamil content by turning on Talkback under Accessibility in Settings. The App plugs in Android TTS framework such that it can be used by any applications (including Talkback) to Read Tamil text by listening to machine generated speech. It was developed jointly by and Carnegie Mellon University. Tamil is first of a series of Text-To-Speech (TTS) plug-in engine for Indic languages. In the meantime, the TTS by Vasu gives a great enlightenment on text and sound processing,a s it has all the sound files and code to process text, map to sound files and stitch as a word etc. The next step is to record audio for each symbol and play with python.
